97 Year old saved from 4 Pit bulls by cat

This lady is firmly convinced that her cat Tiger saved her life. Meet 97 year old Sophie Thomas, who was saved from 4 Pit bulls by her cat.
Incredible story of this very elderly lady who was gardening when 4 Pit bulls surrounded her.

One lunged and bit her on the forearm but that is when Sophie’s cat, Tiger came running to her rescue. Distracting the four dogs, Tiger took off with all four in hot pursuit. Watch what happened next.

Cats are smart and very protective of their owners. This story along with so many other horrible incidents with pit bulls shows you that they should not be allowed to roam free or be around people, especially CHILDREN!

one bit her and if it hadn’t been for the cat, they all four would have attacked her, that’s what they do when one does it they join in, she would probably have been killed. I saw 2 dogs attack another dog and they tried to tear him apart. They were family pets also, that got a wild streak suddenly.

grow the hell up you dont know anything about the pit breed at all they are wonderful dogs when BROUGHT UP RIGHT.. the owners are the ones at fault for the dogs being mean and aggressive not the poor dog itself until you learn about the breed shut the hell up and keep your thoughts to yourself

Audra, you have the personality of the pit bulls you are defending. They must be yours or according to your opinion their owner must have a nasty disposition like you have. If you have nothing intelligent to say, you’re much better off saying nothing. Your total disregard for the lady who was attacked really says a lot about your character.

This is a cat site. Donna has every right to state her opinion on pitbulls. Why is it someone can say they hate cats and no one cares, but god forbid you say something mean about pitbulls and you are evil. Every day I see the damage done by a pitbull to my mom and her dog.

It’s not just the breed of dog… It’s a pack mentality, most dogs have it. they most deffinatly would have fully attacked the lady at that point if it wasn’t for the cat!! Little angel:) the owner of the dogs should be fined, she shouldn’t have so many if she doesn’t have the proper housing for them!

I live in New Zealand, central north island, i was coming back from my corner dairy a couple of weeks ago. it was 9 o clock on a monday morning. i took my beautiful little maltese puppy for a walk and on the way back just before i made it home i was set upon by an evil red nosed pitbull who went in for the kill first trying to lock on to my poor frightened maltese puppys neck to tear his throat apart, iscreamed blue murder while it’s useless owner looked on from a distance, saw us struggle and did nothing. i diddn’t even have time to scoop my darling puppy up in my arms, the only thing i could do was to helicopter spin/hurl him up in mid-air to stop this evil pitbull from killing him, this almost resulted in him being strangled on his own leash in mid-air, i hate pitbulls now and i’m on a mission to see the breed banned from new zealand for good. anyone who want’s to visit them should go to the zoo.

Yet another idiot pitbull owner in denial. No doubt pit bulls can make playful, loving ,faithful pets. Unfortunately they are armed with a set of lethal, locking jaws and a temper to match. If for some reason they kick off , they will kill. There are always exceptions but in effect, they are armed and dangerous and should be fazed out by law (Prevented from breeding) I rest my case.

A dog is a dog. They (as all animals) can be unpredictable. I don’t think it’s the breed that is responsible. Just poor ownership. They shouldn’t have been roaming around. They should have been in a yard or on a run. I have a schnauzer and I love him to bits…But he’s a dog…I would never guarantee 100% that he wouldn’t bite someone.

If you bothered to read my reply you would see that I mentioned dogs not pit bulls! I wasn’t picking on them in particular as you are implying. I watch a lot of “court room” shows and the main thing said by “dog” owners being sued is my “dog” is such a friendly animal up till whatever happened. I don’t hate dogs.

Something must have happened to them for them to act out. If they are older dogs, pitbulls are prone to havering arthritis and it puts them in so much pain. Do you know the arthritis pain yet?

Does America have bravery awards for cats’? that poor woman could quite easily have had a heart attack from fear at her age, well done little brave cat. Here in England the animals would have been euthanized.

They usually euthanize here also, but I don’t think the old woman pursued it.
The owners obviously don’t have a handle on their dogs.
Can pit bulls be good dogs? Yes. But only if they are cared for and trained by responsible owners.
I’m not a fan. One on a leash with the owner present attacked my granddaughter and she’s scarred for life. She was not antagonizing the dog. He was euthanized.
That being said…four large dogs in a trailer? That is a bad sign.

The worst part is you can tell the home is low income. Just by the sheets as curtains and lack of screens on the windows. We have no idea if all FOUR dogs are being treated and cared for properly… But I have a pretty good idea they aren’t if the owner can’t buy window screens to keep them inside? But anyways, Good on the kitty for saving her owner 🙂
